State Auditor Colón Cancels 2020 Audit Rule Roadshow in Light of COVID-19 State of Emergency

SANTA FE, NM – New Mexico State Auditor Brian Colón announced today that all trainings for the 2020 Audit Rule Roadshow have been canceled in light of the state of emergency declared by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.

“The health and safety of all New Mexicans is my number one priority,” said Auditor Colón. “I have made the decision to cancel trainings as a proactive measure to minimize health related risk. It is important that we not panic, but I strongly encourage everyone to play it safe by taking simple precautions such as washing your hands and increasing social distancing.”

The Office of the State Auditor is engaging in responsible best practices for mitigating health risks associated with COVID-19 and is actively working on an alternative plan by evaluating online options to provide the annual training on the 2020 Audit Rule updates.
